Playing Fairy Godmother: Cinderella's #OOTN

If modern-day Cinderella were a cool, edgy, stylish downtown chick, these would be her glass slippers.

When you come to think of it, Cinderella was kind of badass. Sure, she needed a push from her fairy godmother, but the girl had the guts to go to the ball...and stayed out past her curfew.

We all know the story -- the girl who was treated as a poor servant landed the Prince...all because she stood out from the crowd.

Which brings me back to these Jeffrey Campbell Ondine Clear Booties. Let's pretend the "ball" is actually a party at a upscale, trendy club. In a sea of Louboutins and Manolos, these babies would definitely make a statement.  The brand is known for its outrageous (and sometimes impractical) footwear, and these clear peep-toe booties stay true to JC fashion.

The stacked wooden heel and mini platform make for a much more comfortable wear than a stiletto, and the vinyl outer with silver piping make these shoes match with virtually anything (Side note...how cute would these look with a rad pair of graphic socks?!).

So, after coming across these shoes, I decided to play fairy godmother and dress modern-day Cinderella in this outfit for the ball:

Cinderella's #ootn

This Talula dress has a mesh panel in the midsection, which gives it some sexiness and edge, without looking trashy and OTT. Paired with neon and gold accessories, and a bright pink lip, Cinderella will definitely be breaking necks.

XO,
Madelyn
